With the beginning of 2026, the Arrowhead Girls’ Basketball team is achieving accomplishments back-to-back. This is leaving many wondering how the projection for the final parts of the season will look for this talented team.
As of February 11, the girls have a record of 20-2, with their only losses being to Wauwatosa East and Oostburg after incredible battles. This puts them first in the Classic 8 conference for the third year in a row, an impressive timeline. Not only this, but according to MaxPreps, they are ranked first in the state of Wisconsin overall.
With only two more games until the playoffs kick off, it is more important than ever to attend the games with your friends and family to show support for the team. They play Oconomowoc at Oconomowoc High School on the 13 and Kettle Moraine at home on the 20. Regionals, the first round of playoffs, begin on February 27.
The question is, what makes this team so special? It is the individual dedication from each player that pushes them with the drive to improve constantly.
“I think we have a great shot at being very successful because we work each day in practice and set small goals each day,” Sidney Zehner, junior guard, said.
With a strong record, a conference title already secured, and a top ranking in the state, the Arrowhead Girls’ basketball team will look to carry its momentum into the postseason.
