Arrowhead students enjoy the warm weather streak

Monday, March 9th was the start of a new week at for Arrowhead students, but also the start of the first week for warm weather in Hartland, Wisconsin. Monday started out at 48 degrees and continued to go up and down throughout the week.

According to Sharerinks.com, spring is approaching when it starts to get lighter out later. Sunday, March 8th, was daylight savings time, when everyone sets clocks forward.

Another sign that spring is coming is that the snow starts to melt.

Mackenzie Huckstorf, a senior at Arrowhead, says she has been noticing the snow melting this week.

“This week has been nothing but warm weather so it’s obvious how fast the snow will melt. Because of it melting though, my shoes have been covered in mud if I even walk outside on the grass,” says Huckstorf.

Lastly, a sign that spring is near is waking up to the bird’s chirping, according to Sharerinks.com.

Taylor Winter, a senior at Arrowhead, says she’s been noticing the birds in the morning on her way to her car for school.

“Walking to my car in the morning at 7, I always seem to notice that the birds are chirping earlier and definitely more louder than before,” says Winter, “I am so excited for spring and the things I will be able to do because of the awesome weather.”

Winter says this spring she is looking forward to taking a hiking trip to Devil’s Lake with her friends and camping in the summer time.

Huckstorf says her summer and spring plans involve making tye-dye shirts outside and taking her dog for walks.

“This summer will be one of the best yet because I have some of the most fun plans because it’s my senior year summer, I can’t wait,” says Huckstorf.
