In 2018 changes were made, from new music to new fashion trends. Let’s see what was changed in 2018 and what is moving with us into 2019.

Morgan Reed, a sophomore at AHS, says, “My favorite fashion trends of 2018 are scrunchies, velvet shirts, and jean shirts.”

Rachel Smith, a sophomore at AHS, says, “ My favorite fashion trends of 2018 are dad shoes, plaid, and giant sweatshirts.”

Eva Lyons, a sophomore at AHS, says, “I really liked the shoes that were making a comeback in 2018 like Vans and Dr Martens, but I wasn’t a fan of Crocs making a comeback. I also liked that wearing more interesting pants liked striped pants and mom jeans was a popular fashion trend in 2018.”

A lot of these articles of clothing can be found in stores such as Zumiez, Tillys, Hollister, American Eagle, Pacsun, and Urban Outfitters.

Lyons says, “My favorite TV show from 2018 was Queer Eye.”

Smith says, “My favorite movies from 2018 are Bird Box, Call Me By Your Name, and Beautiful Boy.”

Reed says, “My favorite movies of 2018 are Bohemian Rhapsody, Bird Box, and Incredibles 2...My favorite celebrities that made it big in 2018 are Billie Eilish, Cardi B, and Drake.”

Hazod says, “My favorite movies from 2018 are Second Act, Love Simon, Crazy Rich Asians, and Incredibles 2…My favorite celebrities from 2018 are Ariana Grande, Drake, Pete Davidson, and Billie Eilish.”

Lyons says, “My favorite celebrities that made it big in 2018 are Billie Eilish, XXXTENTACION, and Hobo Johnson.”

Smith says, “My favorite celebrities that made it big in 2018 are Rex Orange County, Billie Eilish, Timotheè Chalamet, Arnie Hammer, and Carah Pauls…My favorite books of 2018 were Call Me By Your Name, and The Hate U Give.”

These movies and tv shows are commonly seen on Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Movies; however, you can also purchase and rent these movies from redbox and stores such as Target and Walmart.

Lyons says, “My favorite books of 2018 were Turtles All The Way Down, Milk and Honey, and The Hate U Give.”
