The popular Korean pop band BTS announced they will go on a world tour spanning 34 cities, from Tokyo, Japan, to Buenos Aires, Argentina. There are 28 shows scheduled in North America, out of the total 79. Tickets were sold out instantly. In addition to a tour, BTS will release their fifth full album, ARIRANG, on March 20, 2026. Fans, also known as the BTS ARMY, are ecstatic about the band’s return to touring and music after a brief hiatus. For a few years, the seven members went their separate ways to pursue solo projects and complete the 18 months of military service required of men over 18 by the South Korean government.
A traditional Korean folk song of the same name inspires the title ARIRANG. The song is about the hope of reunion, which is a perfect way to describe how fans are feeling about the BTS comeback.
“I feel so bad for the people who don’t listen to bts imagine missing out on this historical comeback, oh no one will ever match their level & impact,” user @sugatradamus, via X, said.
In addition to fan excitement, Netflix is fueling the fire with their release of BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | AIRANG on March 21, the day after the album release. ARIRANG will include 14 tracks, and member Suga noted that it will be more mature and diverse than previous projects. It has already been presaved more than 4 million times, the most for any album by an Asian act. The first tour date is on April 6 in Goyang, South Korea. Longtime ARMY members cannot wait to experience this new era of BTS, along with recent fans discovering a new passion.
