Arrowhead’s Swimming Pool– where students can swim during spring break

Just over a month left until Arrowhead High School has it’s spring vacation, which many students look forward to each and every single year. Not just the students look forward to this luxury, but the teachers, too. Max Quadracci, sophomore at Arrowhead says, “[Spring break] is my favorite time of the year”. “I can’t wait for Spring break, I’m going to Europe” Says Brooke O’Connor, sophomore at Arrowhead High School.

Spring break begins on April 10th and goes until April 17th. This leaves the families of Arrowhead seven days to enjoy their vacations. “I wish it was longer” Says Claire Babler, a sophomore at Arrowhead. “I’m so happy I get to miss school”.

Mr. Andrews is an English teacher at South Campus, and he is extremely excited for spring break. “I don’t have to teach for a week, what could be better!” he says, “Besides christmas break, spring break is definitely my favorite part of the year.”

Spring break isn’t just a time for vacation, it’s a time for family, and friends. “I’m going to florida with 5 of my friends, it’s [going to be] so much fun.” says Chris Krier, a junior at Arrowhead. “It’s good that i’m going on a trip, but even better that i’m going with my friends.” Andrews says, “Spring break is a perfect opportunity to see your family, enjoy life, and just relax.”

Devin Kritner, another junior at Arrowhead, says “It’s going to be so much fun, I can’t wait.” he says, “I’m going to Mexico with my family. It’s going to be my first time out of the country.”

Krier says, “I think that it’s better i’m going with friends, instead of my family, because I see my family all the time, and I don’t get to see my friends all the time.”

Some students are choosing to extend their vacations, or take them early. O’Connor says “I’m leaving on the 5th, and coming back on the 23rd, so i’m going to miss almost a week of school after spring break.” Owen Harvey, a sophomore at Arrowhead says, “We’re leaving on March 8th, and coming back March 20th, because my brother won’t be in town during spring break, so we’re taking our vacation earlier.”

Overall, spring break is a time of year where families can choose to go on vacation, and enjoy a week long break, or, as Krier says, “Spring break should last forever, not just a week. I don’t want to go back to school.”
