Monday, April 13, marked the start of the 2026 Nerf Wars competition. These games are not an Arrowhead sponsored event. It cost $25 to enter. Teams consist of up to 5 people, and the competition is only open to seniors.
Nerf War assignments will come out each week. It is a bracket-style competition, where two teams are paired against each other with the goal of eliminating as many players from the opposing team. It starts Monday at 12 a.m. and stops Saturday at 11:59 p.m. At the end of the week, the team with the most remaining players moves on. If there is a tie, it has to be broken with a coin flip. There will be no Nerf Wars on the day of Prom (April 18).
Players may only use normal and semi-automatic Nerf guns, and Nerf disks are not allowed. To be immune, players must be in their underwear/intimates. Players can be hit anywhere to be considered eliminated, and if there is a dispute, contact an Arrowhead Gator.
Arrowhead campus is off limits, and players cannot trespass into their opponent’s garage or house. Gameplay inside public places, a church or inside a player’s workplace is forbidden, along with video of competitors in their underwear. Physical altercations are not allowed. Nerf guns are not permitted in school and have discretion in public. “Depending on the citizen complaint and circumstance, law enforcement response can/will result in a citation, criminal charge referral, and/or arrest” Deputy Dunker said via Arrowhead Student Square. Any additional questions regarding the law can be emailed to the school or law enforcement.
It is important to remember that this is a game and is supposed to be fun, not stressful. Be kind and respectful of opponents.
Good luck, Arrowhead seniors, have fun!
