“American Sniper” is a movie about Chris Kyle–the most lethal sniper in U.S. history-coming out in theatres on January 16th. Moviegoers from Hartland/Delafield area can see the movie at Hillside Cinema in Delafield.

Kyle is the most deadly sniper in U.S. history. Kyle was a part of the Navy Seals has 160 confirmed kills off of 255 probable kills. He served four tours in the Iraq war. He wrote a bestselling autobiography called American Sniper.

The movie out on January 16th is directed by Clint Eastwood, also the director of “Gran Torino” and “Million Dollar Baby.” The movie has a budget of $60 million.

The movie stars Bradley Cooper as Kyle. The movie follows him in the Iraq war where he protects his comrades. When he leaves Iraq and returns home, he finds it hard not to think about the war.

The movie has so far received a 75% on Rotten Tomatoes and a 7.7 on IMDb.

Junior Justin Peret is excited to see the movie. Peret says, “This movie looks really intense based on the trailers I’m excited to see it. This will also be the first time Bradley Cooper plays a serious role, which is exciting to see.”

Cooper has starred and co-starred in such comedies as “The Hangover” and “Wedding Crashers.”

Junior Matt Van Gilder is also excited. Van Gilder says, “Clint Eastwood is my favorite actor and director. He never fails and I’m excited to see his next piece.”
