What Students are Doing for the Three-Day Weekend

On Monday, February 19th, 2024, students and teachers will have off of school for Presidents’ Day.

According to delawareonline.com, President’s Day is a federal holiday celebrated annually on the third Monday in February.

“I plan on sleeping in and hopefully relaxing on Monday,” says junior Nicole Rivard.

Some students have planned activities for the day off.

“I’ll spend the day with my friends. We’ll probably go thrifting,” says senior Ray Wieldand.

St. Vincent de Paul in Pewaukee is open 9am – 7pm, according to the website

“I’ll probably use the time to catch up on school work or studying too,” says Rivard.

Others are not sure of their plans yet.

“I don’t know yet, I might hang out with friends and maybe see some movies,” says senior Emily Matson.

According to the Marcus Theater website, the Hillside Marcus Theater in Delafield will be open from 12pm to 10 pm. Some of the movies playing are “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay- Part 1” and “Madame Web.”

“I have no idea what I am going to do, it’s too far away for me to know,” says junior Mya Schneider.
