Sophomores Taking On A New Sport

Two sophomores, Claire Brzenk and Kristen Boucher, started playing on the Arrowhead Golf team this year. They were both in different sports last year, but they wanted to try something new this year.

“I like to golf in my free team, but I do regret quitting field hockey this year,” said Boucher, “I enjoyed practices and meets because it was really fun and laid back.”

On the other hand, Brzenk said, “I was willing to try something something new and just try it out this year.  I have never golfed before but it was a great experience.”

Although they say they both enjoy playing golf, they also they both miss their sports from the past years.

Boucher said, “I think I will re-join field hockey next year because I liked playing a team sport and golf was more of an individual sport.  For me, team sports are more fun and you always have others to motivate you and I really like bonding with the team and becoming close with them.  In golf, it wasn’t really like that.”

Brzenk said, “ I will miss going to golf everyday, but I think I might look for a new sport this upcoming year. Although golf was fun, it didn’t think it was the best sport for me.”

Their sophomore years, the girls were both on the same team, JV. They both agreed the team was a good experience and they liked getting to know others that had the same interest as them.
