2021 Homecoming Parade is a Go

An email was sent to Arrowhead coaches and advisors by assistant activities director Liz Arsnow on September 8th regarding the 2021 homecoming parade. Arsnow stated that the parade will be Friday, October 1, and will begin at 4:30pm hosted by Arrowhead’s student senate.

Senior Cara Wellentin said, “I’m excited to go to the parade because there wasn’t one last year!”

The parade lineup starts at 4pm in Hartland on Church Street by Hartland North Elementary school. The parade will go through downtown Hartland and end at Arrowhead high school.

People who wanted to participate in the parade with a float needed to sign up by filling out the 2021 Parade Entry Form (linked in Arsnows email) by Wednesday, September 29th at noon.

Student Senate President Kyle Staus said, “We started the parade planning process at the beginning of summer. Lots of hard work has gone into the parade along with all the other events during homecoming week!”

Staus said that they are expecting about twenty floats for this year’s parade. The Hawkettes, DECA, and the AHS girls golf team are some of the few that will be participating. Due to Covid restrictions and protocols last year, there was no homecoming parade or dance.

Senior Anna Tweeden said, “We have a lot going on right now between the homecoming pep rally, parade, and football game, so we are working really hard on getting all the choreography finished and ready for everything. I am really looking forward to performing.”

Staus said, “I believe that there will be a huge turnout! Many people are very excited to see these things begin to come back and we have had a lot of positive feedback and excitement already!”
