Prom 2021 Is a Go: Roaring Twenties

Arrowhead’s Prom will be held on Saturday, May 1st at the Ingleside Hotel on Golf Rd. in Waukesha. The theme is the Roaring Twenties.

Junior Cara Wellentin says, “I am so glad they decided to do Prom this year, I think it will be really fun and the Roaring Twenties theme will be great.”

An email sent out by Associate Principal, Becky Gordon, on April 4th, outlined guidelines and details about this year’s prom. Doors open at 6:30 pm and no one will be let in after 7:00; the dance is set to end at 11:30.

Tickets went on sale Monday, April 12th, and through Saturday the 17th, the cost is $80 per ticket.

Starting Sunday, April 18th through Thursday the 22nd, tickets will be $90 per ticket. Ticket sales will close that night at 11:59 pm. Tickets can be ordered through Student Senate’s website.

Ticket price includes entrance fee and dinner. There are three dinner options: sundried tomato chicken with spinach artichoke cream sauce, honey glazed salmon, or vegetarian tortellini with parmesan cream sauce.

In a section of the email labeled IMPORTANT is this text: “The ticket voucher purchased and printed online is NOT your ticket to Prom! Please be sure to PRINT and KEEP a copy of the ticket voucher that shows receipt of purchase. After you buy your ticket online, you MUST come to Room N137 one day between April 19 and April 22 at 2:45 pm or April 23 from 11:30 am – 2:30 pm.”

Masks are required at Prom, except for when eating and drinking. Attendees need to bring a signed COVID waiver.

The waiver reviews the expectations regarding this year’s Prom, things like, masks being required, staying with the group you came with/sat with at dinner, only juniors and seniors are permitted (no previous graduates, lower classmen, or students from other schools). Review the waiver here.

Senior Logan Ruesch says, “I am looking forward to prom. I am really happy they didn’t cancel it altogether.”
