Arrowhead High School Football Makes It to Playoffs 2017

Arrowhead High School Varsity football team reaches the playoffs. Last year, 2016, was the only year the team didn’t make it to stae in five years says Fritz Rauch, head coach.

The level one division game is Friday, October 20th. If the level one division game against Milwaukee Marshall issues a win for Arrowhead, the next week will be followed by a level two division game.

Friday, October 20th Arrowhead plays Milwaukee Marshall and most likely will play Fond Du Lac the following week at 7pm at Fond Du Lac, says Rauch.

#57 Football starting guard Jalen Webster says “If we play our best every single week we can make it to state this year.”

Webster is very confident in reaching state level, he says is speaking for the whole team referencing to the “One Team” motto the team follows.

The varsity football coach Rauch, he has been coaching Arrowhead for two years now. Says Rauch.

Webster says, “We have very dynamic and explosive pass and run option plays.”

According to Max Preps, overall, this season, Arrowheads win-lose rate is 7-3 and our conference win-lose rate is 5-3.

Max Preps says, “Arrowhead is ranked #2,293 nationally and #32 in the state of Wisconsin.”

Webster says “I believe this season will come down to playing Kimberly at Kimberly in two weeks”

Each playoff game is a different ranking, and it starts off at level one and after level one you will move up to level two and so on. Level five is the final level, which is state and that game is held at Camp Randall Stadium.

Last year, 2016, was the only time in five years Arrowhead did not make it to state. Two years ago they got a new coach, coach Rauch.

#26 outside linebacker Joe Biwer says, “We have a tradition of being good and hold ourselves to higher standards, and I think we can make a run this year because our defense offence and defence.”

Before the season Arrowhead has been to state four out the last five years. With the head coach being here for a longer time, they have gotten to know their strengths and weaknesses so they have adapted and become stronger this year. Keep in mind Greg Malling was the coach of the of the time during the state championship approaches, however veteran coach Tom Taraska is on the staff this year. He has lead the team to the most state championship appearances. The stadium is also named after him.
