The Arrowhead Boys Hockey team played their first game over the weekend and it could not have gone much better. They defeated Middleton on the road by a score of 10-0.

Head Coach Carl Valimont describes the team as “a well balanced team with mostly juniors and seniors.”

Valimont says, “The team skated well, moved the puck well, and worked really hard in the first game.”

Although the team won, there are still things to work on. Valimont says “[the] power play will have to get sharper along with better detail work in the defensive zone.”

“We have a great group of young men to coach this year and we are looking forward to the games,” he says.

Arrowhead varsity defenseman, Paxton Reading, says “The beginning of the season is all about developing and refining skills, obviously there’s a lot to learn.”

Reading continued on by saying “It still feels great to be back on the ice even if it means wearing a mask while playing.”

The Warhawks host their next game on Thursday December 3rd at 7:00pm. The game will be played versus Cederburg. Last season Cedarburg went 7-14-1 with many returning players on the team.
