On Saturday, February 10 at 10:00 a.m through 2:00p.m, Arrowhead high school’s robotics club announced a new event called “Battery Recycling Collection” to reclaim any precious materials and prevent unwanted fires.
All battery types were accepted for this event and will be taking them on February 10th at the posted times.
The event was hosted at Arrowhead’s south campus at door D.
Sponsors who supported this event include Elite Energy Distribution, Hartland Fire Department, Merton Fire Department, Lisbon Fire Department, and GFL.
They helped fund this event and in exchange were able to receive brand exposure and speaking opportunities of their duties and what they have to do with an event such as Arrowhead’s battery recycling.
The robotics club will know when they were successful once their goal is met—which is to have a few hundred batteries donated to them and be able to recycle any they receive during the event.
