Koerber’s Road to Marquette

Colin Koeber, a senior who plays soccer at Arrowhead High School, talks about how his journey with soccer has led up to his opportunity to play Big East soccer at Marquette University.

Koeber says, “I used to always watch my older cousin, who played for Arrowhead, play soccer and thats how I got interested in the sport.”

Koeber has been playing soccer since he was five-years-old but now has completed his last year of high school soccer.

“This year, no doubt was the best year i’ve had with soccer. It’s been absolutely insane.  This year was the furthest we’ve ever gone, making it to state,” says, Koerber.

Arrowhead’s varsity soccer team went to state this year. They played against Muskego, and lost on November 1st , one versus one.

Regarding state, Koerber says, “Even though we lost state, it was the best year I’ve had at Arrowhead. We set a school record for being undefeated the entire regular school season and getting the opportunity to go to the state tournament was surreal.”

Koerber says his future plans are to play division one soccer in the Big East Conference for Marquette University.

Koerber also says, “My senior year playing soccer has been the best one yet and everything really fell into place. It’s something I’ll never forget.”

Koerber says his hard work has paid off because has signed to play for for Marquette University in the fall.

“I look forward to to be playing at a high level with such talented players from all around the country.”

Koerber also says, “I have mixed feelings about college soccer and I’m really excited and a little nervous.”

Koerber says he pays lots of gratitude to his family, his parents, and coaches.

Koerber says, “All my teammates from clubs and SC Waukesha have really had an impact on my soccer career. Also all the Arrowhead coaches, fans, and supporters have contributed so much and I am so thankful.”
