Next year’s Hawkfest theme was released on Sunday, April 10th. The theme for next year is “Neon 80’s Dance Party”. Hawksfest will take place on Friday, September 23rd, 2022. 

Hawksfest is run and planned by the DECA club. DECA is a marketing club that plans Arrowhead events, and competes in competition across the state/country. 

An email was sent out to Arrowhead staff from Steven Melzer (Marketing and Business teacher) in regards to next year’s Hawksfest. He says “We are starting our event planning this week, but would like your opinion on what color(s) our t-shirt should be.” This email was sent out on Sunday, April 10th. 

In the marketing and business classes at south campus, taught by Melzer, students were assigned to create a hawksfest t-shirt design.

Sophomore Emma Verdegen who is in the marketing and business class says,“It was fun to have an influence on the shirt that everyone would be weaning.” Verdegen created a pink shirt with a disco ball displayed on the back. 

The class got to vote on what color the shirt should be. They were given the choice of neon blue, neon green, neon pink, neon yellow, neon purple or neon orange. All of the marketing and business classes chose neon pink to be the t-shirt color.
