Arrowhead Boys Volleyball on the Road to State

This past weekend, on Saturday, October 30th, 2021, the Arrowhead Boys volleyball defeated Germantown in 5 sets.

Arrowhead was down 2 sets to none, and came back and won the next three. This sectional finals win advanced them to the next round, which was at the state tournament.

Senior Libero, Evan Schroeder says, “We were a little nervous at first, and it kind of rattled us up. Once the fans got going and we got more positive we turned it on and we knew the outcome. We began to have more fun and focused on that rather than winning. It was crazy during the fifth set, I don’t think we have ever played in a gym that loud before.”

The boys played this past Thursday, November 4th at 10:00 a.m in Green Bay at the Resch Center against Catholic Memorial. Catholic Memorial advanced to the state tournament by winning their sectionals. The boys volleyball team had their send off on Wednesday, November 3rd, at 5:45 at Arrowhead High School. Arrowhead sponsored a bus which brought a fair amount of kids. Even with the bus many kids drove themselves or carpooled.

The boys volleyball team posted a poll on their Instagram to choose the theme between Preppy and Red Out. The theme that won was Red Out.

All tickets for the state games are $11, but as the tournament goes on it increases. Tickets for semi-finals are $13 and the state championship price will be determined.

They are currently in Green Bay at the Resch Center about to begin their journey of the state tournament. The boys won and advanced to the semi finals on Friday, November 5th at 5:00 pm.
