Arrowhead scholarship fund auction dinner

The 19th annual Arrowhead scholarship fund auction dinner will be held on Friday, April 13, 2018. It will be happening at Weissgerber’s Golden Mast Inn on Okauchee Lake. The address is W349N5293 Lacy’s Lane. All proceeds will go directly to the scholarship fund to help Arrowhead high school students pay for their future education costs. Since its beginning, ASF has awarded over $1 million to 2,000+ graduating seniors, according to the official website.

“I could use some more money for college,” said Arrowhead senior Adam Nannetti.

“I like the idea of an auction to raise money for students,” said Arrowhead senior Lucas Cerny.

“I didn’t even know there was an Arrowhead Scholarship Fund,” said Arrowhead junior Matt Bergum.

Students can apply for the Arrowhead Scholarship fund by visiting arrowheadscholarshipfund.org.

The event begins at 6:00pm with a cocktail reception at the cash bar followed by a silent auction and games and raffles throughout the evening. At 6:30pm the buffet opens and at 7:00pm an ASF program by the President of the organization and live music by Mark and Marcielle.

Following that is the live auction at 8:30pm. Finally at 9:30pm, the silent auction closes and there is live music by Mark and Marcielle again.

“Sounds entertaining,” said Arrowhead senior Devin Kritner.

“At least there will be live music,” said Arrowhead senior Aristotle Maxwell.

“I am going to tell my parents to go,” said Arrowhead senior Jordan Liempeck.

For people unable to attend and online auction via smartphone is available through the official website.

People attending should dress in business casual attire. Most people attending aren’t students, because it is for students. For women, that would be a combination of a skirt or dress sacks, blouse, sweater, twinset, or a jacket with closed toe shoes. For men, appropriate business casual attire is chinos or dress slacks, a shirt usually without a tie, dark socks, and dress shoes. Jeans or shorts are too casual for an event like this.

“I’m not fancy enough,” said Arrowhead senior Brooke Peddie.

“I like the formality,” said Arrowhead junior Jordan Bashaw.

“Cool way to help us,” said Arrowhead junior Mercedez Mueller.
