Arrowhead Falls to Mukwonago

Arrowhead Falls to Mukwonago

On September 19th, 2014, Arrowhead High School played Mukwonago High School at Arrowhead’s Football Stadium. The game started at 7:00pm. The Classic 8 has eight teams. This game was a conference match.

In the first seven minutes of the game, Mukwonago’s quarterback, Jake Krueger ran for a 16 yard touchdown to make the score 6-0. Krueger threw the ball only seven times in the game–,it was mostly a running game for Mukwonago with a total 320 rushing yards the whole night. The remainder of the first quarter remained with same score: 6-0, Mukwonago.

With eight minutes and twenty-two seconds remaining in the second quarter, Matt Batcher recovered a fumble and ran the ball in for a touchdown. That made the score 6-6. Shortly after, the Mukwonago kicker, Matt Striker scored a field goal to make the score 9-6. After halftime, Mukwonago ran away with the game when running back Colten Williams ran for 85 yard touchdown.

Arrowhead’s back up quarterback Jack Risch then ran for 1 yard for a touchdown to make the score 16-13. The score would remain the same until the end of the game.

The reason why back up quarterback Risch came into the game is because starting quarterback Johnny Duranso suffered from what he says, is a high ankle sprain. Duranso says, “I will not be back this week.” He also says, “I think the players are still getting used to Jack back there. “Hes doing a great job a great job in practice, and he really stepped up the other night being put in that position.”

Risch completed 12 out of the 20 passes he threw. He threw for 118 yards and was intercepted once. After the 1 yard run by Risch to make the score 16-13, the score would remain the same with more than 50 percent of possession of the 4th quarter went to the Indians.
