Arrowhead’s Students Performing for a Good Cause

Arrowhead High School is hosting an event called Hope in the Spotlight on March 29th at 6 pm. The event will be held in the Arrowhead High School Theatre and is run by the Student Senate.

This year the tickets will be sold for $5.00 or for $8.00 at the door. The raffles will be one for $2.00 or three for $5.00. There will also be wristbands for $2.00 promoting the Mac Fund and T-shirts for $12.00.

Taylor Newcomer, a member of the student senate, said, “Our hope is to raise money for the Mac Fund that supports childhood cancer.”

Hope in the Spotlight’s motto is Fighting Childhood Cancer One Song at a Time.

There will be many different types of performances taking place during the show. There will be multiple Arrowhead students singing and playing instruments and there will also be a band and standup comedy. This will be an entertainment show with a variety of different performances.

The Student Senate, and those in charge of the event, organized this event for the first time last year.

Newcomer said, “It turned our great last year. Over half of the auditorium was filled with people. We rose over $3,500.”

VISU sewer will be donating a $500.00 Apple gift card to be used as a raffle item. The other prizes will include Country Springs Water Park passes, Chocolate Factory gift card and a Running Outfitters gift card.

Newcomer also said, “We hope people will want to attend the event this year because we have very talented people performing, so it will be a good show. Also, all proceeds go to a great cause. We hope to make this an annual event.”
