On Thursday, December 19^th, the boys and girls Arrowhead basketball teams and the boys and girls Waukesha North basketball teams had a double header. A double header is where both the girls and boys play on the same night, at the same venue.

These double header games are good for both the girls and boys teams because they get to support each other and more students are able to come and watch both games.

Usually the boys and girls basketball teams play on the same nights, but at opposite schools so they never get to support each other. This year, the Arrowhead and the Waukesha North basketball programs worked together to form two double header games throughout the season.

As a player I really enjoyed the double header night.  More students came and supported us because they were able to watch our game and then the boy’s game after. The more people in the stands the more energy there is for the players on the court.

The DECA night was also held on Thursday, December 19^th because of the double header night. The boys and girls teams were both part of the experience and there were twice as many people coming to support. Since there were a lot of people the DECA night was very successful.

Double header nights are also very beneficial for the school that is hosting because more people will come.  The more people, the more money the school will make.

There is another double header night on February 13^th at Waukesha North. The girls game is at 5:45 pm and the boys game is at 7:30 pm.  I am very excited for this and I know the boys team is too.

I believe that there should be more double header nights organized with other schools in the future. It creates more money and support for the teams and schools.
