DECA Promotes HAWS Pets of The Month
Each month, Arrowhead Marketing Classes and DECA promote two pets from the Humane Animal Welfare Society of Waukesha County (HAWS). February’s pets are Sadie and Penny.
Sadie is a dog that’s mainly white with light brown spots, weighs about 42 pounds, is ten years old, and has been spayed.
“Sadie has been a joy. She is such a good girl. They say she is responsive, a nice walker, loves to play fetch and is respectful of the cats in the house. They have also noted she is housebroken and knows the sit command. She has not jumped up on anyone and enjoys playing with her toys,” says HAWS.
Penny is a mainly black cat with white spots, weighs about nine and a half pounds, is two years old, and has also been spayed.
HAWS says, “Penny loves to play! She is a very frisky, energetic, two year old cat. She loves string toys and watching birds the most. She was found outside and is very attracted to windows, and has way too much energy to be stuck in a cage. She’s still a little nervous around other kitties but in time and with proper introductions, she might be a good playmate for a kitty friend. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful girl to have in your home, Penny is your girl!”
If you would like to adopt Sadie or Penny, you can call HAWS in Waukesha County to set up a meet and greet.
DECA promotes pets that are put on the “back of the pack” list. Most pets are adopted in 12 days, but some (like Sadie and Penny) are there for a while. “Back of the pack” means that the pet has been in the shelter for more than 90 days.
