Junior Matt Brandel said, “I think it’s cool that he is being recognized at such a high level when he is a janitor in a small town like ours. He deserves the attention and recognition though and I hope that he wins the award.”

Senior Jacob Johnson said, “I remember seeing Doc everyday at Lake country school when i was younger and kind of took him for granted. Knowing now that he is up for this award makes me appreciate him and what he does a little bit more. It would be pretty cool for not just him, but the school, if he would win this award.

Senior Chris Krietlow said, “Hearing that Doc is a finalist for this award is pretty cool, and it reminds me of when I went to Lake Country School, and makes me think of how annoying and hard it would be to deal with 4th grade me. I hope he wins the award, I think that he deserves it and doesn’t get enough recognition.

Senior Liam Coughlin said, “He is a fantastic guy who is really good with kids and goes above and beyond what he needs to make others happy.”

Senior Alex Vessel said, “I think that his hard work has paid off and I hope he wins because I think that his work is under appreciated.”
