To Legalize or Not To Legalize Marijuana
The states of Oregon, Alaska, and Colorado, all legalized recreational marijuana. There are many states, like Wisconsin, who have not made laws legalizing any form of marijuana.
“The Oregon Health Division is allowing medical marijuana to be used to treat Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) under the Oregon Medical Marijuana Act,” according to MSN.
Colorado’s 64th Amendment to the Enactment of legalization of marijuana provides for licensing of cultivation facilities, product manufacturing facilities, testing facilities, and retail stores.
“Alaska’s law is similar to Oregon and would tax and regulate the production, sale and use of marijuana, making the use legal for people over 21 years old,” says CNN-Politics.

Governor Scott Walker claims he has spoken to many sheriffs who all say the same thing: pot is a gateway drug to other more stronger drugs like heroin and cocaine.
60 Minutes says, “Cash-starved governments [are] looking for new things to tax for more revenue [like marijuana].”

NBC News staff writer, Eric Ortiz released an article this April that included a study done at the University of Colorado forecasting that one ounce of pot costs $185 per ounce in legalized states.
“Marijuana seriously needs to be legalized”says a Junior at Arrowhead who asked to remain anonymous.
“I couldn’t care less because I’m an athlete and I don’t do drugs”says a Senior who asked to remain anonymous.
Legalizing marijuana will mean regulating the product and the price and keep the government busy for awhile, coming up with all the rules and regulations governing it.
