The Last Curtain for Arrowhead Broadway Seniors

For the seniors in Broadway, this year’s musical theater night was their last curtain call. The Broadway Company will be saying goodbye to 10 senior members at the end of the year.

Eleven years of Gmeinders in the Arrowhead choir will end with Simon Gmeinder, the youngest of four brothers.   Simon played the lead in this year’s musical Joseph and the Aamazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Simon gives thanks to his family for their support throughout his Broadway career.

Joey Ferrito and Kristina Haideman are also graduating. Just last year, Ferrito was casted as Jacob in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Curly in this year’s production of Oklahoma.  Haideman played the leading Aunt Eller in this year’s production of Oklahoma.  Ferrito and Haideman are also involved in other singing events like the Wisconsin State Honors choir. Ferrito attended this fall while Haideman was chosen to sing with the Milwaukee and Madison area professionals.

Nolan Jensen has been given a $25,000 scholarship to the University of Louisiana where he will major in mathematics or engineering.  Dominic Salamone is going to retire his dancing shoes to major in history, political science and maybe even law.  Noah Nethery wants to pursue a career in composing and conducting music in the upcoming year.

Many of these senior Broadway members have contributed to the community.  Senior Danea O’Dell is a young womens president at her church, and she advocates for anti-bullying. Ashleigh Sullivan is an active member of the Key Club and she volunteers at her church in her free time.

The seniors have also played a big role in making MTN happen.  Members like Austin Travers, Gerry Tetzlaff, and Lyssa Yehle helped choreograph and direct some of the numbers.

Jon Zabel and Sam Phillips have contributed in more ways than one.  Phillips was the self proclaimed hygiene captain during the practices. Zabel took care of the snacks, and would often volunteer for cleaning up.

While eager for the incoming freshmen hopefuls, the Broadway Company will be saying goodbye to some instrumental members.
