April Fools Day on April 1st is a day where some people unleash our most creative sides, all in a hilarious, over the top way.

There’s no consensus on how it all began, but a popular theory is that while nowadays, January 1st is when we start the new year.

Today pranking on April Fools Day has transcended to confinements of the first day of April to become a year round internet phenomenon. Thousands of videos on the most popular internet sited emerge every day, pushing the pranking limit to sometimes dangerous territories.

It received its name from the custom of playing practical jokes on this day for example, telling friends that their shoelaces are untied or sending them on so called fools errands. Although the day has been observed for centuries, its true origins are unknown and effectively unknowable.

It resembles festivals such as the Hilaria of ancient Rome, held on march 25th and the Holi Celebration in india, which ends on March 31st.
