Deputy Vanderboom Goes on Paternity Leave

Deputy Matt Vanderboom had his second son, Jack, on Friday December 23rd, 2022.

Since then, he has been on paternity leave and his replacement is Deputy Tyler Dunker. Vanderboom will be back on March 27th, 2023.

Vanderboom has been working for Arrowhead since 2020. He and his wife, Katie, have a one year old son, Levi, and a three year old golden retriever named Bella. Katie is an actuary in Pewaukee and the family lives in Oconomowoc.

Deputy Tyler Dunker has filled in for Vanderboom in the past and has helped him out with various dances and football games. Dunker has four children, a 15-year old named John, seven year old named Mia, a six year old named Elijah, and a one year old named Gianna.

“He seems very excited to be taking on this role,” said senior Maddie Fintel.

Dunker has been with the Sheriff’s department for seven years and he is in the firearms and drone unit.

In his spare time, Dunker goes out on Nagawicka Lake or goes ATVing. He especially enjoys sports, like football and baseball.

Deputy Dunker deals with attendance, truancy, and many other student related ordeals at Arrowhead.

“I look forward to getting to know everyone and spending time at Arrowhead!” said Deputy Tyler Dunker.
