Performance Training Review

Meeting every other day for two periods, the gym class “Performance Training,” is a great opportunity for students to work out and stay in shape during the school day.   The class is run by Physical Education teacher, Jeremy Miller.

The workouts are determined by Miller and are different during every class.   The class is structured to incorporate flexibility, core, balance, speed, agility, quickness, and resistance exercises into every workout.

The class is good for everyone, including both beginners and highly skilled athletes.  Freshmen through seniors can take this course.  The main focus is on improvement of technique and building performance, for all skill levels.

Justin Radtke, a senior at Arrowhead, says, “I like the class.  It’s a good break from my classes and allows me to work out during the school day.”  Radtke also said he would recommend the class to other students who like to work out.

I would also recommend Performance Training to students at Arrowhead.  The workouts can be difficult, but they keep you in shape.   The metcon workouts are the hardest.  Metcon are workouts that incorporate a mix of strength and endurance exercises and often go many rounds.

Overall this class is good for everyone.  Whether your individual goal is to lose weight, to become an avid lifter, or just to stay in shape, this class can help you accomplish this and you can do it while earning an A in the class.
