There’s a new addition in the Arrowhead school store. A PS2 was set up in the store on a big screen TV.  Students who don’t have anything to do can come and play several games such as, Tiger Woods 2001, NBA 08 and GTA 2, but Madden 08, is the most popular game in there. It can only be played when the school store is open. Seventh and eighth hour study hall are usually the time to play the game

Students are very into the game because of its features. The older teams and graphics make the game fun. It’s a 1 on 1 game playedbetween students. The games take usually 20 minutes to finish because the students set the quarters to two minutes each.

Seniors George Panos, Brett Arnold, Ricky Finco, Matt Seitz, and Alex Romoenesko are in the store playing seventh and eighth hour.  Panos has a record or 8-2 and Finco has a record of 12-6. There is also a chalkboard in the store that has several of the senior student names with recorded wins and losses.

Common teams used in the game are the Saints, Seahawks, Ravens, Colts, Bengals, Bears, and the Packers

They’re many different plays in the game that lets the offense score touchdowns, such as the basic run play up the middle. Using the analog stick is called highlight stick with the running back it is every affective.

Highlight stick is a feature that the running back is given to break the defender tacklers. I recommend using these two features while playing.

On defense, you get plays that are used in real life such as cover two and man defense. Hit stick is a feature given to the defense that helps the defense hit the offensive player really hard.

This game is fun and entertaining for all kinds of students. At the end of the school year, there will be a Madden 08 champion showed on the chalkboard in the school store.
