Tamara Lindmair named the Milwaukee Brewers Grand Slam Teacher of the Month

Each month, U.S. Cellular partners with the Milwaukee Brewers to celebrate local teachers. One of Arrowhead’s teachers, Tamara Lindmair, who teaches A.P. Government and politics started off the new year being named January’s Brewer grand slam teacher of the month.

Lindmair’s husband nominated her for this award because he saw how much her passion for teaching and love for her students meant to her.

Lindmair said, “He wanted to do something for me in recognition of my love and commitment to my profession.”

Lindmair’s husband nominated her through the Brewers website where there is a form to be filled out about why the teacher you are nominating should be picked.

Lindmair had no clue that she had even been nominated for this recognition. When she found out she said she was, “shocked and incredibly humbled I won anything.”

As a result of winning this, the Brewers gave her two Brewers tickets, a signed baseball, a Brewers T-shirt, and a Bob Uker bobblehead.

Amelia Altmann, one of Lindmair’s students, says she likes how Lindmair cares for her students and always tries to make our A.P. class more fun and easier to understand.

Lindmair says, “I am just happy that others can see how much I love what I do.”
