The Mullett Ice Center is not only the host for the boys and girls ice hockey programs, but it is also a host to many social events outside of Arrowhead High School. They also host other programs such as Arrowhead Youth Hockey, Lake Country Warhawks, Mullett Adult Hockey League, Elite Skating Academy, Wisconsin Inspire, Hockey Factor, AAA Proactive Hockey, Team Wisconsin, Public Skaters, Home School Groups, Eisstock of Wisconsin, and Arrowhead gym classes.

The Mullett Ice Center also holds public skating. Coming up on March 19, 20, 26, and 27 the Mullett Center has open skates from 1:30-3:00 p.m. It’s $7 for adults, $6 for youth and seniors, and $3.50 for rental skates. On March 29th the center has Mom and Tot skating from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. This skating event is for parents and their kids who are 4 years old or younger.

Through the end of this week the Mullett Center will be used for Arrowhead High School’s Physical Education classes. During the week, the center is not normally used for public use; it is used for other private uses or lessons. On March 21st through the 24th, the Mullett center has speed skating at 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

Senior Athena McSorely went to open skate over winter break with some of her friends and said she had a great time.

McSorely says, “I went in the winter with my friends and it was so much fun. We were able to just come and go when we pleased. We brought our own skates so we did not even have to pay. My friends and I will totally go again.”
