Students Share Thoughts on Yearbook Signing Party

The inaugural yearbook signing party took place on Monday, May 24th, at Arrowhead’s North Campus.  It was organized by Yearbook Club, DECA, and the Arrowhead Way.  All students were invited to participate in this free event, which ran from 4pm to 7pm.

Students were able to pick up their pre ordered yearbooks, which came with a complimentary pen for signatures.  The party featured food and games for entertainment.  Burgers, brats, and hot dogs were served.  A Pete’s Pops vendor sold popsicles at the event.  Between 100 and 200 students enjoyed yard games and a DJ for entertainment.

Yearbook staff member Abby Dambeck, a senior, said, “Despite the heat, I had a lot of fun handing out yearbooks to everyone with other yearbook members.”

Yearbook staff hope that the Yearbook Signing Party will become an annual event.

Dambeck says, “For the first year that Arrowhead has done this, I feel like it went better than expected, but there are a lot of changes that will be made next year to make it better for the AHS students.”

Students who were unable to attend the event were able to pick up their ordered yearbook from their study hall teacher.  Students were able to order yearbooks at the beginning of the school year for $55.  Additional yearbooks are available for purchase in the North Campus front office while supplies last.
