New staff member at South Campus

Cameron Gonring, the AHS Varsity Football Co-Defensive Coordinator and Assistant Head Strength and Conditioning Coach, is the new study hall and lunch supervisor at South Campus.

In his study hall and lunch supervisor job, he keeps AHS running efficiently and smoothly.

Gonring said, “I started off the school year as a classroom sub and aide and have now transitioned into this role. I worked as a study hall and lunch supervisor at Brookfield East High School for multiple years prior

to joining Arrowhead.”

Gonring has been doing fifth period lunch all year and he has been doing ninth period study hall during all of second semester.

He made the transition to the study hall and lunch supervisor job after his substitute and aide was no longer needed.

Gonring said, “Having already been doing fifth period lunch and ninth period study hall it was a natural transition. As a football coach and strength and conditioning coach it is important to have a role in the building outside of coaching to establish good rapport with students and student athletes.”

Having experience in a similar job made it easy for him to know expectations and have the confidence to apply for the study hall

and lunch supervisor job. He used his role as a coach and his past job experience during the interview process.

Gonring said, “I am enjoying my position quite a bit. It is nice to see students in a different setting than in the classroom as a sub and nice to see my student-athletes outside of their sport or the weightroom.”
