Xbox and PlayStation have been competitors since the day they came out. And to this day, they are still competing with each other.

The market value of the Xbox one was five hundred dollars opposed to the PlayStation which cost four hundred dollars. What it all really comes down to is what the consumers think about the two brands. Which one is truly better? Is there a better one or are they the same?

“It all comes down to the internals of what the console and how it processes,” says gaming enthusiast and graphic designer, Kert Brockson. “I would say that I prefer the Xbox over PlayStation because of the layout. Everything has much easier access and is all right there on the Xbox and you can get things loaded somewhat faster like game downloads or app updates. That might have something to do with the Wi-Fi though.”

“I would pick the PlayStation over the Xbox any day,” says game enthusiast, Jonah Fredrickson. “I have had both and I think the PlayStation is better able to process the games I play. Every Xbox I have ever bought has broken or done something really messed up because of the poorly made internals. My Xbox One actually turned itself off when I turned it on. The PlayStation that I have had never did weird things like that.”

According to Techradar, the PlayStation has more games than the Xbox because of the PlayStation vr. There are games that are specifically made for only the PlayStation vr which is something that the Xbox has not come out with. This statistically puts PlayStation in the lead for having the most up to date tech. The hardware is also said to be more durable than that of an Xbox.

Microsoft has come out with a new project that could put Xbox in the lead by a long shot. They gave this project the code name, Project Scorpio. Project scorpio is said to be the new hardware of the Xbox two. Microsoft says that this hardware will be much more durable as well as advanced. It was not decided yet but Microsoft is deciding whether or not to create virtual reality headsets for the new consol.

“I’ve heard about Project Scorpio and it seems to be really different for Xbox,” says Brockson. “The pictures of the designs for the Xbox two look really cool as well. I wish there was going to be a release date for this but I have heard that Microsoft is still in the process of designing and creating the consol. There is still a little ways to go.”

“Despite the new ideas of the project scorpio, I would still go with PlayStation because I really think the PlayStation is better constructed,” says Fredrickson. “The internals have always been very strong and who could say no to the virtual reality games. I have watched videos on those games and it is way better than Xbox in my opinion.”

The Xbox One has come out with three different versions of the console. There have been reported problems with Microsoft saying that there have been problems with the Xbox turning off by itself when turned on by the gamer. There have also been reports of the Xbox disk drive not being able to read any of the games.

Sony has taken some complaints as well. The PlayStation 4 has been reported to have bad disks drives that do not read the disk right. There have also been problems with the graphics and the audio card as well as troubleshooting problems where the PlayStation doesn’t allow itself to be hooked up to Wi-Fi.
