New Improvements Made At AHS

With each new school year, students see things that are in need of improvement. And many Arrowhead students see places for Arrowhead to improve parking, at football games and in the school store.

According to Megan Bartelt a junior at Arrowhead, “There is not enough parking spots.”

In order to get a spot in the front lot, students need to arrive before 7:10 am. If students arrive at Arrowhead, and are unable to find a parking spot in the main lot outside of door 1, students need to park either at the Mullet Center or at the tennis courts. But many students think this shouldn’t be the case. Bartelt says, “The population of this school will most likely increase, so I think a new parking lot would help alot.”

But parking isn’t the only issue Arrowhead students are unhappy about.

Carly Minor, and sophomore at Arrowhead, said, “at the football games they need more interactive things that involve the crowd, not just something that the crowd has to just sit and watch.”

At the football games, halftime lasts 20 minutes.

“If halftime events were fun and involving, it was make the time go faster as well as keep the crowd alive,” says Minor.

Not only is the football games something students have an input on, but also Yo Mama’s.

The newest addition to the school store is Yo Mama’s frozen yogurt. Good or bad? Megan Bartelt says that, “ It is good because it brings people into the store and gets business.”

This school store offers company made frozen yogurt from the famous Yo Mama’s.  The school store has prepackaged frozen yogurt that the students get to enjoy around the school.

Minor says, “The Yo Mama’s frozen yogurt at the school is a great dessert after my lunch. I definitely look forward to that after my meal.”

Not only is Yo Mama’s an improvement that students seem to really enjoy, but also Hawkfest, fall fest and the football games as well.

Hawkfest is a festival that occurs annually at a football game. This year it is held on September 13th.

Bartelt said,  “I am really looking forward to Hawkfest this year.”
