Deadpool–the Newest Comic Movie
According to Rotten Tomatoes, Deadpool is a movie based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero. Deadpool tells the original story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson. After being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, he adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
Sarah Smith, a senior at Arrowhead said, “I’m not into superhero movies and comic stuff, but I really liked this movie. It was so funny and not at all how I expected it to be. I would recommend this movie to everyone at Arrowhead.”
Deadpool is being shown at the Hillside Theatre in Delafield, just 10 minutes from Arrowhead. Showing times are 7:20pm, 8:00pm, and 10:00pm
According to IMDB.com, Deadpool was released on February 12, 2016, nationwide. It stars Ryan Reynolds and Morena Baccarin.
Directed by Tim Miller, Deadpool is a mix of action and adventure, comedy, and science fiction, and fantasy. It is rated R because of strong violence and language, sexual content, and graphic nudity. It has a runtime of one hour and 40 minutes.
Isabel Case, a senior at Arrowhead said, “I haven’t seen Deadpool yet, but I’m going to this weekend. I heard it’s really good and i’m excited to see it because Ryan Reynolds is the main character.”
According to Rotten Tomatoes, the six main characters are Deadpool, played by Ryan Reynolds.
Ed Skrein plays Ajax, Morena Baccarin plays Vanessa, TJ Miller plays Weasel, Gina Carano plays Angel Dust, and Style Dayne plays Jeremy.
