Arrowhead senior William Boyer began his search for college late in his first semester of his senior year.  Boyer started his college application process in January of 2015. Boyer said he looked for a college that had a computer engineering major.  More than that, he also said wanted a college that was close to home.

He searched for a couple weeks and found two colleges that interested him.  Boyer applied to the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE)  and to Waukesha County Technical College (WCTC).

“I was looking for a college that is close to home, I guess the major was just a secondary point,” says Boyer.

Boyer applied to both MSOE and WCTC.  However, he has not heard back from either college.  Currently Boyer has no reference one way or the other for which college he prefers more.

“The whole process was easy,” says Boyer.

He also said the online application made it easy to apply.  Boyer also said the online application seemed like a simple questionnaire.

“It was basically just filling out my personal information so its not like there were some trick questions or anything,” says Boyer.

Boyer says the college application process was actually anti-climactic.  He says compared to other students stories of the process being overwhelming it was actually almost too simplistic for him.

“I got nothing for advice [for Juniors].  But, I’d say, just keep it simple.  You don’t need to work yourself up about it.  Find what feels right for you,” says Boyer.
