Fashion at Arrowhead is slowly shifting from the summer season to the chilly winds of fall.  This means that Nike shorts and Birkenstocks are being replaced with sweaters and riding boots.  No longer will you see tank tops in the hallways, but instead leggings and vests.

“Arrowhead is known for fashion, so girls definitely like to look good in school,” said Emma Rafferty, a senior at Arrowhead High School.

A popular brand at the school is Lululemon athletic clothes.  The clothing line has items such as leggings, vests, jackets, and tanktops.  The brand is expensive and a store in located in the Third Ward.

“I love Lululemon.  I don’t know a girl that doesn’t have a pair of Lululemon leggings,” said Jenna Walters, a senior and Lululemon lover.

Walters stated that most girls pair leggings with Ugg boots or riding boots.

“Leggings are so comfy.  Even though they are pretty revealing, girls just love the comfort factor wearing them,” said Walters.

Another popular brand at the school is Free People.  Free People is a relatively high priced brand that most girls prefer to wear.  Free People also is similar to the popular brand, Urban Outfitters. Although less expensive than the Free People brand, Urban Outfitters is usually in a price range of 30-90 dollars.  The two brands include a wide variety of clothing options and mainly stick to the bohemian style.

The bohemian style includes items such as Doc Martens, chunky sweaters, acid wash jeans, and army boots.

“I love the bohemian style and mainly dress like that.  However, a lot of girls can really pull off the preppy look,” said Walters.

Those that aspire to pull off the preppy look stick to clothing stores such as J Crew and American Eagle.  Preppy fashion includes items such as Sperry boat shoes, pearl earrings, button up shirts, and crew neck sweatshirts.

Fashion ranks important in the hallways of Arrowhead High School to most.  As the leaves turn colors, the girls of Arrowhead turn over their summer wardrobe to the anticipated fall sweaters and boots of the season.
