Spirit week starts off on Monday, September 29th with pajama day.  Tuesday is tie-dye/twin day, Wednesday’s theme is ugly sweater/Hawaiian day, Thursday is ‘Where’s Waldo’/neon day, and finally, Friday is a red out.  The whole entire week for Homecoming has many events that students can participate in.

On Sunday at 4:30pm there is the Homecoming parade which follows by the student versus staff football game at 6:00pm and the bonfire at 7:00pm.  On Tuesday, September 30th there is a movie night in the North Campus theater for all students.  On Thursday, there is a scavenger hunt that starts at 4:30 in the North Campus junior studyhall room.  Finally on Friday, there is the Homecoming pep rally that takes place during school and the Homecoming football game which is at 7:00pm at Arrowhead High School.

Homecoming tickets start to go on sale from September 22nd-26th for $12 each and then they will be 15$ each the week of September 29th-October 3rd.  Students can also get your last chance tickets for 20$ each on Saturday, October 4th.

Students have the option to find a date when attending the Homecoming dance.   “I’ve been really good friends with Alyssa Wulf for a long time and I thought about how much fun it would be to go with someone I felt comfortable around and someone I really liked, “says freshman Matt Nienhaus.

Now that you may have the date in mind there is the always the Homecoming  proposal that comes along with it.  There are so many ideas that students can choose from when asking the date of their choice.

“I started writing the song I asked her with about two weeks before I asked her.  The lyrics came easily to me, but it was a little hard to find a good sound for the lyrics.  I knew it was finally time to ask her once I had finished the song and was totally comfortable with the lyrics,” says Nienhaus.

Students can pick from a variety of different options to ask their date, and they might even end up on a famous social media page.

“At first I was super shocked that out of all the millions of proposals they would pick mine, and then I was super honored to be on the page,” says freshman Jake Shamion.

Not that every idea is going to end up on a social media account. If you are still thinking about how to ask your 2015 Homecoming date there is still time, but keep in mind that it is coming up in about three weeks.
