Arrowhead Students Eat Taco Bell For Breakfast
Beginning on March 27th, Taco Bell will be serving breakfast until 11 AM daily. Arrowhead sophomores Carly Minor and Morgan Gintert say they are excited to be eating Taco Bell for breakfast. The nearest Taco Bell is located on Capitol Drive in Pewaukee.
Taco Bell’s breakfast menu will include waffles, breakfast burritos, coffee, and even desserts. The breakfast menu opens at 6 AM on weekdays and 7 AM on weekends.
Minor says she is excited for Taco Bell breakfast because she loves fast food breakfast, but gets sick of McDonalds breakfasts.
“I’m so pumped to try Taco Bell’s new breakfast. I usually get McDonalds breakfast but I’ve kind of gotten sick of it and am ready to try something new,” says Minor.
Gintert says she only visits Taco Bell once in a while and probably won’t get breakfast that often. Gintert says she doesn’t like to eat fast food too often and the new breakfast menu doesn’t really interest her.
“It’s cool that they’re coming out with some new stuff, but I’m not really a fast food person so I probably won’t be eating it that much,” says Gintert.
Minor says the food items she is looking forward to the most are the breakfast burritos and the cinnamon delights for $3.49.
The breakfast burritos are Steak & Egg Burrito, Bacon & Egg Burrito, Sausage & Egg Burrito, and a Grande Skillet Burrito. There are also hashbrowns as a side option. The breakfast burritos are $2.49 each and the Grande Skillet Burrito is $3.47.
“I love cinnamon flavored treats and every burrito I have seen on the new Taco Bell menu has literally made my mouth water,” says Minor.
Although Gintert says she doesn’t eat fast food that often, she says that if she ever were to go to Taco Bell, she would get a Grande Skillet Burrito which is eggs, sausage, bacon, cheese, and hash browns wrapped in a tortilla shell. Gintert says she would get an iced coffee for $1.49 to go with it.
“I would give their breakfast burritos a try and their iced coffees look good, too,” says Gintert.
Gintert says that the reason she isn’t too eager to try Taco Bell’s new breakfast menu is because it is so high in calories. One breakfast burrito is 670 calories, according to TacoBell.com/nutrition.
“I’m not one to count calories, but a 670 calorie breakfast is way too much for me,” says Gintert.
