The Arrowhead Girls Gymnastics season starts Monday, November 11th, 2024. There is a Varsity team and a Junior Varsity. Both teams compete in four events: the uneven bars, the floor exercise, and the vault. The girls can compete in the All-Around, which is all four events, or they can focus on one event.
The team will miss former senior Chloe Susitti who placed 23rd in individual state last year with
a score of 8.8000.
“Last year the practices were really fun; all of us got along very well,” Taylor Kehoss, junior, said.
Gymnasts have to be dedicated for a long time because their season starts in early November and ends at the end of February. The athletes are required to practice five days a week and attend all scheduled meets. Every student who tries out will make the team, but some might not be able to compete in all of the meets.
“I am excited about the new incoming athletes and the new memories we will make as a team,” Abby Wieselman, junior, said.
