On Friday night, Nov 1st, we visited the haunted adventure with two friends, Niko Frangopoulos and Natalie Ahearn, both juniors at Arrowhead. We decided to go through the normal haunted adventure. The guys kept calm and collected while the girls in the group had a rough time making it through.
The haunted adventure started by one of the actors leading us through a dark path up a hill telling us the backstory as to what happened to the farm and why it is “haunted.”
The first adventure we went on was Murphy’s Mine. From Brynn’s perspective, there were actors everywhere, dressed in scary outfits, hiding in dark spots, ready to scare us. It was filled with sand and had parts that were hard to walk on, such as moving grounds. The actors ranged from children to the elderly.
The next section of the haunted house took us on a hayride to the next location. In Brynn’s opinion, the hayride was scary because actors dressed as wolves would hop into the hayride and sit with us while trying to scare us.
From Eli’s perspective, the hayride was the best part. The actors did a great job making the experience feel eerie and creepy.
One thing that stood out was how few actors were working, It was clear that they were short staffed. I think that was better for the girls because it made it less scary, but if you’re going to the house to get scared, you would be disappointed with the amount of actors.
After the hayride, the actors left us in the woods and we had to go through small houses and a butcher’s house. Then the path led us up through the trees and we had to walk across thin bridges with actors blocking the path.
As the haunted adventure continued, the sections of the house became less and less scary, since we became used to the frights.
In conclusion, we would definitely recommend the Haunted Adventure because of the fun backstory, the surplus of jumpscares and the overall enjoyable experience.
