Due to the 2024-2025 block scheduling change, Arrowhead High School, traffic has become an increased problem for AHS students.
As of this school year, traffic for students is a major topic of discussion. As a result of the new schedule changes, north and south buildings now start and get out at the same time, making traffic more backed up. Multiple students have noted how bad the traffic has become, taking up to 20 minutes to leave the school area.
Last year, south campus started at 7:20 am and got out at 2: 26 pm, while north campus started at 7:30 am and got out at 2:36 pm. Now, after the schedule, both south and north campuses start at 7:25 am and get out at 2:35 pm.
“I would say it has definitely increased, but as an athlete who leaves later than dismissal time. I have not seen a major difference,” Junior Piper Moede said.
“There needs to be a difference in dismissal times and arrival times. Also having more spots available for students,” Junior Ava Eigner said.
This change of time scheduling has affected many students with traffic problems, creating many issues for students and staff at AHS.
