Steven Petersen, who has been coaching football for about five years at Arrowhead High School, and also in his second year as an Algebra teacher at south campus, feels that the football season is going strong and they are learning to improve through each game.
“I feel like it’s going great. We had one little hiccup when we played Homestead, and I think we learned from that tough loss and got better,” Petersen said.
According to MaxPres, Arrowhead is ranked 3rd in the state after week five.
On Sep. 20, 2024, Arrowhead captured a win against Muskego.They won seven to three. They had learned from their loss and improved for the rest of their schedule .
“Last year we had to make a few adjustments. We had some injuries that we had to overcome and I feel like kids got ready to play the offensive side of football. That experience has gone a long way for them this year.” Petersen said.
Petersen couldn’t hide his amazement with the progress and development with many Juniors and Sophomores.
“A few division one kids have scholarship offers already.”
On September, 27th, Arrowhead will continue their season playing conference rival Oconomowoc.
