Arrowhead senior Megan Hughes is attending the University of Madison-Wisconsin in the fall of 2024 majoring in biochemistry. She says she’s on the pre med track in the honors program.
Throughout her high school career, Hughes has been on the varsity soccer team. Hughes is #13 and plays defense.
She says her favorite memory from her soccer career was senior night.
Hughes says, “I am going to miss playing with all of my girls.”
When Hughes is not playing soccer, she says she is working at Life Time fitness as a lifeguard. . In addition, she says she works at ProHealth West Wood health and fitness center and is also a lifeguard there.
Life Time is a fitness club in Brookfield with a gym, pool and waterpark, and other amenities and West Wood is a rehabilitation service center in Pewaukee.
Other than working and playing soccer, Hughes says she loves working out and hanging with friends.
Hughes says her favorite thing she will miss about high school is, “my 9th hour study hall; it was my favorite part of my day.”
Hughes also says that her favorite teachers she will miss in high school are Mr. Drenzek or Mrs. Fulton. “Their classes were always so fun,” she says.
Drenzek teaches Biology classes which is Hughes favorite subject throughout high school.
Fulton teaches math which Hughes says was her second favorite subject in high school.
