Summer break 2023 was only a few short months taking place in June, July, and August. Arrowhead students went on summer break either to take a vacation, or chill at home. Arrowhead students first day of school was Tuesday, September 5th, just after Labor Day weekend.
Senior Elizabeth Wurster says she did lots of traveling this summer along with many other students.
Wurster said, “I did quite the European vacation, I went to Spain, Paris, Belgium, and Amsterdam.”

Wurster said that it seemed like it was the summer of concerts as well.
Taylor Swift was a hot hit this summer, selling over $1 billion in her eras tour.
Some artists that played in Milwaukee this summer were, Pink, Yung Gravy, Drake, Zac Brown Band, Dave Matthews Band, Imagine Dragons, Zach Bryan, and many many more.
Senior Kylie Valade, went to the concert in Chicago, and said it was truly a special moment for her and her friends. “I felt I spent a decent price, given what the concert was and how it was,” she said.
Wurster said she had a great time at the concert, she went with her mom. “Me and my mom both cried, it was that good.”
On top of Taylor Swift’s tour, Summerfest and other concerts were also a hot hit and the highlight of students’ summers.
Senior Lily Nickel saw Bret Young at Summerfest. She said, “The concert was so good and it definitely was a highlight of my summer.”
Senior Ellie Bognar did not see anyone at Summerfest but saw Chris Stapleton, George Strait, and Little Big Town all at Miller Park.
Senior Grace Hamilton, says she had lots of practice for dance over the summer but one of her highlights was seeing the Lumineers this summer at the Amphitheater, in late August.
On top of concerts and traveling, some students spent time at home.
Senior Lily Stephens said she spent lots of time on the lake with her friends, skiing and boating on lake Keesus and Okauchee.
Summer 2024 for Arrowhead students will begin June 8th, 2024.
