What Students Are Doing For Mothers Day
This Mother’s Day lands on Sunday May 14th this year.
According to students, common plans for Mother’s Day are going out for brunch, bowling, and spending time at home doing what their Moms want.
Gabby Slowinski, a freshman, is planning on spending quality time at home with her mom. Slowinski says, “For this Mother’s Day I’m going to give my mom a big hug. We aren’t doing much but it’ll be special for sure.”
Lizzie Bolton, a senior, says, “After work I’m planning to cook her favorite dinner and bake her favorite dessert and then go golfing!”
There are deals and specials for Mother’s Day in Lake Country. Most places are taking reservations though as brunch is a big deal for those restaurants on Mother’s Day.
Cafe Hollander has a brunch special like Caprese Benedict, and breakfast potatoes and they’re celebrating on Saturday May 13th, and Sunday May 14th. Other places like Delafield Brewhaus have buffet specials for $32 for adults and $15 for children ages 5-11. You can find more Mother’s Day brunch specials here.
Alyson Lo, a senior, is going out with her mom for Brunch. Lo says, “I have to make a reservation as soon as possible. Everywhere is booking up but it’ll happen.”

Other students are planning for experiences.
Bella Marino, a senior, is planning on going to a Brewers game on Friday with her family. Marino says, “I’m going to see the Brewers play against the Kansas City Royals for Mother’s Day. We all really enjoy baseball so this is a perfect day for it.”
Slowinski says, “I can’t wait to celebrate how wonderful my mom is this Sunday. She definitely deserves a day other than her birthday celebrating her!”
