Senior Profile: Alex Stahl

Arrowhead current senior, Alex Stahl, says, “I am very excited to graduate high school.”

Stahl is currently involved in many different Arrowhead programs, such as being president of Rho Kappa, which is the Social Studies Honor Society. She is also one of the secretaries of Peers 4 Peers (student mental health club), senior editor for journalism (which includes uploading articles to the school newspaper), and she is trying to write a speech for graduation before tryouts on May 19th.

Next year, she plans on attending UW-Milwaukee. She wants to major in journalism and wants to minor in environmental sciences. Stahl’s two older sisters attended and graduated from UWM.

She said, “Milwaukee was the only school I applied to and my sisters went there; they only said good things.”

Outside of academics, she loves friends, nature, music, work, reading, and her cat. Her favorite trail to hike is Retzer Nature Center, which is in Waukesha. Stahl is currently reading The Silence of the Lambs by Thomas Harris.

Here are Alex’s three current favorites:

Favorite Movie: The Dark Knight

Favorite Song: Good Looking by Suki Waterhouse

Favorite Song Artist: Beach House

Stahl works at Wellhouse 1900 and Nourish Juice Bar in Delafield. Stahl says, “Wellhouse and Nourish are in one combined building, but I usually work at Nourish, which is an organic cafe.” Here she works about 10 hours each week. Stahl makes $12 an hour plus tips, “The tips there are really good.”

With school ending for seniors on June 3rd, Stahl says, “I’m most definitely going to miss the staff, as well as the friends I know I won’t see outside of school.”

Stahl’s advice to freshmen would be this: “Be open to all the growth that you will receive, and know that it’s a good thing.”

When asked about college clubs, Stahl responds, “hopefully anything journalism related or environmentally related.”
