Preview of Spring Sports
Spring sports include girls and boys lacrosse, girls softball, girls soccer, baseball, softball, track, and boys golf. Spring sports started mid February for pre season things and got the season started at the end of February/beginning of March.
Girls Lacrosse:
The girls varsity red lacrosse team has a 5-2 record as of Monday, April 25th. They have so far beaten Oak Creek, Kettle Moraine, Brookfield, and Oconomowoc by scoring 12+ goals each game. Their losses were against Verona where they fell short 10-4 and Whitefish bay where they lost 9-7 at the Arrowhead invite on April 23.
Top scoring player currently is Junior Ariana Lynch, averaging three goals per game and behind her is Junior Ella Hardtke Laughlin, averaging two goals per game.
Varsity red has two goalies: Senior Reese Conrad and Senior Kailey Wille. Conrad is averaging 70% of the saves while Wille averages 69% of the saves.
Boys Lacrosse:
The boys varsity lacrosse team, as of April 25th, holds a 6-1 record. Putting up wins against Franklin, Neenah, and Marquette, Homestead, and Waukesha nine plus points each game. The team beat Wauknekee on April 23 in double overtime making the final score 8-7.
The team’s loss was against Warren Township out of Illinois. Where they fall with a score of 13-2.
Girls Soccer:
The girls varsity soccer team holds a 3-1-3 record beating CMH, Brookfield East, and Eau Claire Memorial. The team fell to Waukesha West, Brookfield Central, and KM. After beating Brookfield East the team faced them again, ending in a tie.
Softball:
The Arrowhead girls varsity softball team, as of April 25th, is undefeated with a 7-0 record. The team has beaten Hamilton, Muskego, Waukesha North, Mukwanago, Kettle Moraine, Oconomowoc and Waukesha West.
The top player who has gotten the most runs on base is Sophomore Jaclyn Showalter with 14 runs.
Baseball:
The Arrowhead boys varsity baseball team has a 5-0 record putting up wins against Waukesha North twice, Mukwanago twice, and Menomanee falls. Senior JJ Vargas is on top of the team this year with a batting average of 50% but tying with junior Connor Olson with seven runs so far this season.
