Catch Me If You Can Opens October 14
Next week begins the showings of Arrowhead Broadway Company’s Musical, Catch Me if you Can. The musical is about a teenager named Frank Abignale Jr. who is seeking fame and fortune. He runs away from home with nothing except for forged checks and fakes being a lawyer, doctor, and pilot. After all of these lies, he begins to catch the eye of an FBI agent, Carl Hanratty, and begins to follow Frank around the country to catch him to pay for his crimes.
Senior Christian Carter who plays FBI agent Carl Hanratty says, “I think all of the dance numbers [are the best] because they are very fun and energetic and it took a lot of time and hard work.”
Carter also says this is his favorite production by far. Previous productions included The Wedding Singer, and Mamma Mia. He says, “ I would say this is definitely my favorite musical so far because I have the biggest part I have yet, but I also really like the story and the songs in the musical.”
Senior Evie Evans who started in the past musical in 2020 Mamma Mia and is now a part of the dance core says, “I think this musical is totally worth all the countless hours the company has put into it. The more we practice and the more hours we put in the better it gets. We stay after school every day until 10:00 pm so I think it is going to be great.”
The first show begins on Thursday, October 14, at 7:00 pm. Other show times are Saturday, October 16, at 7:00 pm, Sunday October 17, at 1:00 pm, Thursday, October 21 at 7:00, Friday October 22, at 7:00 pm, and Saturday October 23, at 7:00 pm.
